Axis Communications Data Center Solutions
Anixter has partnered with Axis Communications to bring you solutions that address the five building blocks for data center technology interoperability. These solutions align with Anixter’s Infrastructure as a Platform model to provide a practical, configurable and integrated approach to deploying data center technology.
Layer 1: Axis Communications Data Centre Perimeter Defence Network Cameras
The first data centre physical security layer—perimeter defence—controls authorised and unauthorised access to the data centre’s property. Axis has a complete line of PTZ dome, fixed dome and fixed thermal network cameras to address your data centre’s outdoor security needs.
Layer 2: Axis Communications Data Centre Clear Zone Network Cameras
The second layer of data centre physical security—the clear zone—is needed to protect critical electrical and mechanical areas, such as the primary power plant, power wires running into the facility and backup areas that house generators and fuel tanks.
Layer 3: Axis Communications Data Centre Facility Façade/Reception Area Network Cameras
The third layer of data centre physical security helps to manage data centre visitors. Visitor control starts at the reception area and sets the tone for the data centre. Axis has a complete line of network cameras designed to provide high- resolution images that clearly identify who is coming into a facility.
Layer 4: Axis Communications Data Centre Service Corridor Network Cameras
Most data centres have significant focus on the white space of the data centre room, but the grey space, hallways and escorted areas that lead to the data centre floor are frequently an area where proper security measures are overlooked.
Layer 5 & 6: Axis Communications Data Centre Room and Cabinet Network Cameras
Controlling access to the data centre room and white space is critical to maintaining an effective physical security strategy. Once inside the data centre, a malicious threat can affect the core of the data centre, which is the infrastructure housed within the cabinet.
