Superior Essex is proud to announce that it is the most awarded cable manufacturer of 2016 for its achievements in sustainable cable manufacturing, as well as its innovations in Power-over-Ethernet cabling technology with its PowerWise™ Power-over-Ethernet cable solutions. In April, Superior Essex was presented with the Bronze Award by the Edison Awards™ for its efforts in practicing and driving industry change in sustainable cable manufacturing. The Edison Awards are inspired by Thomas Edison’s persistence and inventiveness, and seeks to recognize innovation, creativity and ingenuity in the global economy. 

In May, the company was named both Best Global Wire & Cable Products Manufacturer and Recognized Leader in Fiber Optic Communications by the TMT Telecoms Awards. The TMT Telecom Awards were created to reward and recognize the telecommunications service providers and technology innovators in this vital and dynamic sector.

In September, the company received the Cabling Innovators Platinum Award for its PowerWise 4-pair Power-over-Ethernet (4PPoE) cable solutions, its application in the Cisco Digital Ceiling Framework, and its installation in the Launch Fishers facility in Fishers, Indiana. The Cabling Innovators Award is presented on behalf of Cabling Installation and Maintenance (CI&M) Magazine and recognizes companies that demonstrate industry leadership in a variety of categories, including innovative approaches to projects, applications or product designs and implementation, value to the user, sustainability, and impact on the professionals involved, on the productivity of its ultimate users, and on society as a whole. 

Also in September, the company received U.S. Builders Review’s Editor’s Choice nomination for its efforts in promoting and practicing sustainable cable manufacturing, specifically its industry-first Zero Waste to Landfill certification. U.S. Builders Editor’s Choice honors companies that are committed to furthering sustainability and energy-efficiency in the built environment, and are chosen for their forward-thinking nature and ability to drive industry innovations.
