Nexans AmerCable is a global leader in high-quality jacketed power cables and connectivity solutions for mission-critical equipment operating in harsh environments, including: oil and gas upstream land and offshore operations; surface and underground mining; general industrial applications and renewable rnergy – solar and wind.
GEXOL® TYPE P
AmerCable’s Type P Cables are the oil and gas industry’s standard for premium power, control, and instrumentation performance. GEXOL cables prove their value in the punishing environments of land and offshore drilling operations around the world where relentless heat or extreme cold, vibration, corrosion, drilling mud exposure and mechanical stress challenge a cable’s construction.
- Highest Ampacity Ratings
- Extremely Flexible
- Lower dielectric constant and higher insulation resistance reduces electrical losses
- Rated 110 C
- Available in three constructions, including VFD:
- Standard GEXOL
- Low Smoke Halogen-Free
- CIR ® (Crush & Impact Resistant) without external armoring
- Severe cold durability
- Flame retardant
- Drilling mud and oil resistant
- Dual-certified IEEE 1580 Type P and UL 1309/CSA 245 Type X110
TOP DRIVE SERVICE LOOPS
The AmerCable Systems Group has been manufacturing top drive service loops since 1993 at its state-of-the-art-facility in Houston, Texas. These professionally engineered loops are built to withstand the hazardous operating conditions and dynamic stress of land-drilling operations. Anixter is currently stocking service loops for these top drive models:
- TDS 11 Conventional Rigs
- TDS 11 Ideal Rigs
- TDS 11 Pigtails (Ideal and Conventional Rigs)
- Canrig 500 Ton
TIGER® BRAND MINING CABLES
Tiger® Brand is the top-selling power cable in North America for surface and underground mobile equipment. Since 1922, AmerCable has been producing power cables designed for longer service life in the harshest mining environments. Mining cable is our core product line, and all Tiger® Brand cables are produced in El Dorado, Arkansas.
Tiger® Brand Chlorinated Polyethylene (CPE) jacketed cables are mold-cured, a process that makes them more resistant to abrasion and tears. These cables, which provide the physical performance and strength needed to resist wear, tear, abrasion and compression cuts caused by everyday mining use, are available in standard black, colors, color-and- vulcanized-stripe combinations and color with reflective stripes. For extra harsh environments, AmerCable also offers a Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) jacket which is available in standard black or solid colors.
AmerCable also offers factory-installed couplers:
- SHD-GC 2kV – 15kV
- GGC Flat
