New Habitat home owner, Letoria Moore, shares the impact Habitat is had for her and her family

From June to October, six Anixter build teams will hit the Chicagoland area--armed with hammers and protective gear--to help build homes for six families across Lake, Fox Valley, Northern Fox Valley, DuPage, McHenry and Cook counties. In all, more than 60 Anixter employees will participate.

Building On! is a followup event to the successful Raise Your Hand Chicagoland event sponsored by Chicagoland Habitat for Humanity in downtown Chicago in 2014. Building On! seeks to also build awareness of the housing poverty crisis throughout Chicagoland, engage more volunteers and increase support for Habitat for Humanity's mission in the region.

Lake County Habitat Executive Director Julie Donovan, as well as new Habitat home owner Letoria Moore, joined Anixter's EVP/CFO Ted Dosch and 42 employees from coporate in kicking off the event at our Glenview headquarters.
