Corning is pleased to introduce the new version of the UniCam Toolkit.
The new UniCam™ High-Performance Toolkit 2 it’s focused on the customer, listening to the issues and challenges, and finally meeting those with new product quality and functionality.
The UniCam high-performance toolkit 2 was developed to reduce the amount of time required to terminate a single connector and to provide operational feedback and guidance throughout the termination process.
Termination speeds are 25% faster by reducing the number of steps in the termination process.
Installation of an LC, ST or ST compatible connectors can be accomplished in 50 seconds with the Unicam high-performance toolkit 2.
It is also an intelligent tool that provides step-by-step guidance throughout the termination process, but it is also capable of detecting missteps and providing guidance on how to correct them. Guidance if provided via an integrated LCD screen using animated videos detailing the termination process.
An additional 7-in LCD video panel is integrated into the kit providing guidance for other process steps su ch as fiber preparation, cleaving and maintenance.Connect or loading is simplified courtesy of a new purple handler than ensures proper loading orientation and the transition between SC/ST to LC connectors is accomplished by simply rotating the VFL adapter either left or right. The installation tool also notifies you when maintenanceis needed, tell you how to perform maintenance and when the tool is out of its operating temperature range.
