Volunteering after Hurricane Sandy

George Moseley used his time off to help people affected by Hurricane Sandy

George Moseley, Eastern U.S. Regional LAN Supervisor, led a group of high school students to Long Beach, NY, to help rebuild homes that had been devastated by Hurricane Sandy.

George's team

The team helped an elderly couple on a fixed income who couldn't pay for repairs to make their home inhabitable once again and helped a young family restore their basement that have been flooded and gutted. George oversaw the students learning to block floor joists, cut dry wall and cutting out for power outlets and light switches, taping and mudding drywall seams, using screw guns and more.

George is proud of his team and grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community. “I want to give a big thank you to Anixter for allowing me to have this time off.”
