COMMERCIAL/ INDUSTRIAL

Suitable for installation in cable trays, raceways and outdoor locations, control cable is used in industrial power or control circuits for conveying electrical signal. Power cable includes main feeder, distribution and branch circuits for industrial, commercial and electric utility applications, substation control cable, data center cables, control mechanisms for plant operation, VFD cable, and power/control for commercial marine applications.

UTILITY

Lake Cable's process allows us to manufacture to exact utility specifications and requirements, with small minimum order quantities and manufacturing lead times that are the best in the industry. In addition to being designed for control applications within substations and power plants, our cable can be directly buried and installed in cable trays, raceways, conduit or anywhere outside where cable management devices are supported every six feet and TC-ER rated. It can be shielded where signal integrity is crucial with helical or corrugated copper tape, bronze tape or aluminum mylar. Interlocked armor is also available for more rugged environments. Cables are Class I Div II rated for hazardous locations.

All cables are RoHS compliant and come with a ripcord for easy field stripping. Lake Cable is the manufacturer of choice for completing mission critical projects as well as scheduled or unscheduled maintenance.

BUILDING MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

Building Management Systems (BMS) are most commonly implemented in large projects with extensive mechanical, HVAC, and electrical systems. BMS systems are a critical component to managing energy demand. In addition to controlling the building's internal environment, BMS systems are typically linked to access control (turnstiles and access doors controlling who is allowed access and egress to the building) or other security systems and motion detectors. Fire alarm systems and elevators can also be linked to a BMS for monitoring. With this configuration, if a fire is detected the fire alarm panel closes dampers in the ventilation system to stop smoke from spreading, shutting down air handlers, start smoke evacuation fans, while sending all elevators to the ground floor to park them and prevent people from using them.

ACCESS CONTROL

Lake Cable’s Access Control composite cables address connectivity for all primary access control components such as card readers, door contacts, REX, locking power and retinal/biometric scan. These cables are used in commercial buildings, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, government buildings and any facility where security systems control access.

VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVE (VFD)

Designed to reliably carry power for Variable Frequency AC Drive systems, Lake Cable’s VFD Cable can effectively support the high-power levels of pulse-width modulated (PWM) signals. This includes handling high voltage spikes and eliminating potential damage to the cable, motors, bearings, drives and related equipment.

Durable, industrial-grade XLPE insulations provide low capacitance for extended motor life, reducing likelihood of corona discharge and magnitude of standing waves, as well as increased efficiency of power transfer. Robust grounds and shielding systems minimize radiated and conducted noise that can disrupt plant control and instrumentation systems. Industrial-grade PVC, CPE and LSZH jackets provide sunlight and oil resistance. A UL ER rating allows cable routing outside of the conduit for easier and less expensive installations.

LOW VOLTAGE ELECTRONIC

Lake Cable produces low voltage electronic cables that are designed for use in NEC Article 800/760/725 for plenum, riser and general applications. These basic types of cable come in various combinations of stranding, insulation material, conductor count and jacket material, 24 AWG -14 AWG in solid, stranded, tinned or bare copper, in 2 - 25 conductor or 1 - 12 pairs with or without shielding.

CABLEM8 CABLE DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

Lake Cable’s Original CableM8 (Pronounced Cable Mate) and CableM8 Mini are designed as all-in-one cable distribution solutions providing a whole new level of productivity on the job. When the CableM8 is fully loaded with up to eight eco-friendly bags onto the cart, as well as up to two boxes or reels, installers have the ability to pull 10,000 feet of cable at one time. The CableM8 Mini is able to pull up to 6,000 feet of cable at one time when fully loaded. Combined with M8 Bags, the CableM8 is perfect for sterile environments such as clean rooms, medical facilities and data centers and is able to move through any door and rotate in areas with limited room.
