Building Wire

Anixter offers a wide range of building wires for use in service entrances, feeders and branch circuit applications. Building wires can also be used for permanent installations for residential, commercial, industrial and public constructions. Insulations are suitable for a maximum voltage of 0.6 kV to 2 kV.

XLP/USE

Building Wire XLP/USE
  • THHN/THWN-2: Thermoplastic vinyl-insulated and nylon-jacketed building wire. Flame-retardant, moisture and heat resistant. 90° C rated in dry and wet* locations (*THWN-2 only).
  • TFN / TFFN: Thermoplastic vinyl-insulated and nylon-jacketed fixture wire. Flame-retardant, moisture and heat resistant. 90° C rated in dry locations.
  • THW/THW-2: Thermoplastic vinyl-insulated building wire. Flame-retardant, moisture and heat resistant. 75° C rated in dry and wet locations.
  • XHHW-2: Cross-linked polyethylene insulated small diameter building wire rated 90° C wet and dry.
  • USE-2: Cross-linked polyethylene insulated underground service entrance cable. RHH/RHW-2 rated for heat and moisture-resistance, 90° C dry or wet locations.
